A St. Rita Parish Master Plan is coming into focus

A parish master plan is basically made up of three major components:
Part I
A Pastoral Plan;
Part II An Inventory and Assessment of Parish Properties;
Part III Stewardship/Development/Capital Campaign.

Part I was completed in 2007 when we adopted our Parish Pastoral Plan and now, with our property inventory on disc and our property assessment in hand, Part II is also complete. These past weeks we have been advising our Finance Council, Pastoral Council, and School Advisory Board of the assessment result. Gradually we will disseminate this information to other parish and school groups, along with all of our parish leadership. In the meantime all of you will be hearing more and more about the progress of our Parish Master Plan. This years Year End Giving Campaign will specially relate to addressing the results of the property assessment study. Next on our Master Plan agenda is to begin Part III STEWARDSHIP. Many of you by now have heard that Catholic Christian Stewardship is presented as Time, Talent, and Treasure, but it is so much more than that handy slogan. A parish addressing gospel stewardship should approach it almost as a retreata new evangelizationif you will. Each year that I have been here, I have tried to shepherd us in the direction of a vision for our parish that would render St. Rita strong and viable as a faith community for now and the future. We are already two years into the the second one-hundred years of St. Rita. For all of us, this should be a commitment to blessed and passionate stewardship for our parish. I am inviting you to jump on board with me to embrace St. Ritas promising and exciting future!
