The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7. It was instituted to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithful. In this month of October, let us consider this beautiful prayer of the Rosary as a means that we too can use in order to draw closer to Jesus and Mary by meditating on the great mysteries of our salvation.
During the month of October, we will pray the Rosary on Friday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. in the Parish Chapel. All are invited to join in person or by livestream! No RSVPs are needed, just come and be.
In addition, we hope you’ll treasure this special gift, first given in Holy Week of 2021, and prayerfully presented by the staff musicians at St. Rita Catholic Parish: a wonderful sung Rosary. We invite you to take twenty minutes of time to hold the love of God in your hearts.

It was planted in good soil beside abundant waters, that it might yield branches and bear fruit and become a splendid vine.

Good and loving God,
We, the people of St. Rita Parish, thank you for the blessings You have graciously poured down upon us. For over 100 years You have guided our parish and for this we thank and honor You. As we work together to implement our priorities for the coming years, bless our deliberations and guide our efforts. As disciples of Jesus, assist us in our parish mission to be a community that lives by faith, is known by love and is a voice of hope. With the intercession of St. Rita, remove anything that may impede our progress and bless all that we do. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
