Through an intentional process and heart-centered gatherings, Saint Rita Faith Formation strives to transform, form, and inform hearts and minds to live by faith, be known by love, and to be a voice of hope.
This year St. Rita Faith Formation and Family Ministry invite you to “walk in the Spirit.”
You might have heard it said before, but faith is truly a journey. Life may at times feel like a sprint or a marathon, but God longs for us to walk with Him each and every day. We may get lost, stumble, and even fall, but God is always there guiding us with His grace.
One of the greatest gifts of our Catholic faith is the knowledge that we make this journey together. When it seems impossible to forge the trail, see around the twists and bends in the road, or simply keep going when circumstances are challenging, your Saint Rita family will always be present to guide you, to encourage you, and to walk alongside you.
The catechetical process and the ministry opportunities that operate at the heart of the parish are part of the journey of faith on which Jesus invites us all. Jesus is present alongside us every step of the way through the hearts and the wisdom of our parish staff, catechists, and teachers.
Our mission is to support you through thoughtful faith formation processes and intentional family gatherings so that you will embrace the journey of life with hope, trust, and joy.
This year, let’s walk in the Spirit together!
“I love Faith Formation! My teacher is so nice, and I like learning about Jesus. I can’t wait for my sacraments!” (Girl, 7)
“I thought faith formation was important most of all because I got to receive communion. I understand Catholic traditions and communion better than I did before. I also liked donuts on Sundays.” (Girl, 8)
“Children’s Liturgy of the Word is the best because we get to have fun while we hear the stories from Mass.” (Girl, 6)
“Faith Formation was great because I really liked learning about parts of the church, and I made some new friends this year.” (Boy, 11)
“I liked going to faith formation because it was a time without chores that I could just hang with friends. I like learning the Catholic prayers like the Hail Mary, and most of all, I liked getting my first communion.” (Girl, 9)
“The Year 2 Retreat was my favorite of the experiences. It is where I made the most friends and was really able to have fun while focusing on faith.” (Confirmation Candidate, 15)
“Faith formation was a wonderful experience for my child! My daughter enjoyed her time with her friends not only during the faith formation classes, but also at the Sunday gatherings. I loved how we as parents had the opportunity to connect with others as well. A very special experience!” (Parent)
“It’s very hard these days keeping teenagers engaged and coming back, but I feel St. Rita's leaders have done a great job at that and my son really did enjoy the journey.” (Parent of a Year 2 Confirmation Candidate)
