Knit & Crochet Ministry

The Knit & Crochet ministry at St. Rita Catholic Parish donates sweaters, hats, scarves, and blankets to provide hope and warmth to children living in poverty in this country and around the world. We send items to World Vision to distribute. We also make items for a local chapter of the National Christ Child Society that gives layettes and other necessities to new babies in low income families.

Sometimes we are asked to do one-time projects. Most recently we made 100 hats for children at the border in El Paso.

If you would like to participate in this ministry here are a few ways:

1. Join us in the church office meeting room on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to work on projects and chat.
2. Want to help but don’t know how to knit or crochet? Join us on Wednesdays and we will teach you!
3. Work on items on your own and we will send them on.
4. Cash donations are much appreciated to buy yarn.
