Mary Williams, Family Ministry Coordinator: Welcome friends! It’s a joy and a privilege to support and nurture St. Rita families! As a wife and a mama of two (ages 8 and 10) myself, I am truly blessed to walk alongside you as we witness God alive and present in everyday family living. I look forward to getting to know you this year!

Elementary Faith Formation sessions are Mondays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. These sessions are centered around the Gospel and create moments that nourish your little one’s relationship with Jesus.
Sacramental Prep Sessions are Mondays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. During this two-year process, children are introduced to Jesus and encouraged to become a better disciple by getting to know Him through the Gospels and life in the church. They are also shown the effects of God’s grace that is bestowed upon them in these Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist, and our responsibilities to God and the church after they receive them.
Family Ministry meets the THIRD Sunday of every month after the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Families will gather together for fellowship, fun activities, and meaningful conversation. Family Ministry is FREE and there is no need to register for these gatherings.
Middle School Faith Formation and EDGE Nites are Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All middle school youth are welcome to our monthly ministry gatherings for fellowship in a safe and faith-filled environment. There are game nights, community building activities and scripture studies that promote healthy spiritual growth and help them to identify their place in parish community.
Youth Nites are every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. St. Rita Youth Ministry welcomes all high school youth in 9th through 12th grade, regardless of where they are in their faith journey. They may be in Confirmation Preparation, already confirmed, or even non-Catholic friends of Catholic teens in the parish. Every Youth Nite is different, and they range from being very social to very spiritual. The topics covered rotate around the eight components of comprehensive youth ministry: advocacy, catechesis, community building, evangelization, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer & worship, justice and service. We also attend various conferences to gain the experience of being a part of the larger church.
Sessions for Confirmation are on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Year 1 meets on the 1st Sunday of the month and Year 2 meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process for high school teens, starting in the Fall of their freshman year. In addition to full participation in youth ministry activities and events, Confirmation candidates have various opportunities to personally encounter Jesus Christ and deepen their relationship with Him and His Church.
RCIA meets every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. RCIA, the “Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults,” is the path the Catholic Church provides for any adult who wants to become Catholic or who needs to receive any of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). These sessions may also be helpful for those adults interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.
